The combined forces of Chaos on Sparcos continued to make gains after their run ins with the Iron Warriors, shrugging off those raids and probing the outer defences of the Fort itself. A company of Correllians, new to the subsector as part of Task Force Rapier, found themselves badly mauled by the Dusk Raiders and fled the field. Commander Anderson knew that unless he was reinforced they Imperium would have to fall back to its inner fortifications in a matter of weeks. He took little comfort from knowing that the Orks on Sparcos would also be fighting Chaos, as he had to fight them too.
