The Tau at War

The concerns raised by Tau analysts on increasing levels activity by the forces of Chaos proved well founded. In what was clearly intended to be a quick in and out raid Traitor Marines attacked a small outpost on Paratea. The Tau's surveillance network was quick to detect their incursion and a Hunter Cadre was deployed to the target site before the Marines could complete their raid and withdraw. In a brief but brutal fire fight the Chaos forces suffered heavy losses and the remainder withdrew. Conscious of the increasing number of threats developing in the region the Tau began work on a second major fleet base to shore up their holdings in the region.
