The elements making up this force were formed to support the diplomatic mission of Por'o Mu'namsai. The Por'o is a high ranking ambassador whose main focus is the freeing of the humans of the Aleph subsector from the oppression of Imperial rule. Aiding him in this endeavour is Aun'ui Shoh'la Oshi'ru, a young ambitious ethereal keen to spread the word of the Greater Good to all of the un-enlightened. Shas'o Uwais Ranerra'on is the leader of the combat elements of the force. Also known as Commander Ghostsight, Uwais is well beyond retirement age and served most of his career as a pathfinder. He has a passion for stealth and reconnaissance, and was attached to the cause to primarily provide close protection to the diplomatic mission, whilst also acting as a recce screen for allied forces. Ghostsight is aided in this by a dedicated group of Shas'el who lead many of the insurgency cells personally.
As they are not a force tailored toward claiming ground they lack manpower. This situation is has been remedied somewhat by an exceptionally high reliance on AI. They have an above average allocation of drones and have also been granted use of a number of experimental, close-range remote controlled battlesuits to allow their more experienced warriors to directly influence the outcome of engagements without putting themselves at risk.
Strategically the Au'taal Cadres prefer not to become decisively engaged, instead using guerrilla tactics to strike and face, before striking again from an unexpected direction.
