The war in the Hadron Expanse between the Alliance and the imperium continued as 10.019M42 progressed. The armies at Palantir had still received no official reinforcement from the overall commander of the Hadron Expanse, as the war on Hexis and defence of the Crusade world of Awarath took precedence.
The Alliance once again sent in House Chardonnay, who had become champions of the little people of Hobbiton, attempting to secure them a free future. The knights landed on Bree, which had reduced in its defences, ironically in order to launch an invasion of Dale some weeks earlier. The Hammers of the Emperor chapter immediately responded in force, but were savagely attacked by the enemy war engines. Charging into the astartes lines the knights caused almost as much damage at the point of their demise as they did fighting. The Hammers soon realised they could not sustain such casualties and abandoned Bree. Now only Dale remained in imperial hands.
