In the south, the small remaining force of tau on Hexis were destroyed by Horozkha’s Iron Warriors, who were intent on keeping the supply lines to the centre of Praxis - still held by chaos - open. To aid in this the orks were allowed to penetrate the city and assault federal positions, but this drew out the Sisters of Quartz, who quickly dealt with the green skins appearance. This also cut off the chaos in the centre of the city.
Meanwhile in the underground catacombs the orks blindly wandered into ancient necron tombs, waking the defenders from their slumber. After a violent firefight under the city, the ancient menace remained in control of their resting place. Above ground, the Imperium moved into the northern districts of Praxis, defeating the Federacy, but the alliance struck back, the Sisters of Quartz ambushing the Sky Lords and almost encircling the centre of Praxis.
As night fell on the first day of the invasion the forces of chaos still held the device chamber and the centre of Praxis. However the alliance were tightening their grip on the city and threatened to overrun it. The eldar has in fact overreached themselves, and now the imperium held the latest attack on the Sky Lords defensive positions. Despite attack after attack the astartes refused to yield their positions, ending the success of the alliance in the city.
Worse was to come for the eldar. While they battled against the space marines in the birth of the city, a concerted attack from the south began. Horozkha has arranged a coordinated counter assault on alliance positions in order to link back up with the chaos forces in the centre. First the orks struck west, this time overwhelming the eldar positions, before Horozkha himself led the elite Iron Warriors forces into Valkais. By the end of the second day the alliance strike had lost all its gains, and chaos remained in control of the city centre, threatened only by the imperium who still held the north.
