Destino: Crusade joined by Dark Angels

With much of the imperial attention now turning to Hexis, Lord Commander Luthor, sector commander, was entirely focussed on ensuring that his forces had the logistics and fleet support to launch a successful invasion of the Lysis system. This meant coordinating with Inquisitor Vorushko in the Expanse, who was similarly distracted from goings on in the Foramen Interdictum. 

In the Perseus Deeps, the Imperium had a foothold on Mordecai, but Tarlius had been abandoned to the forces of chaos. However with Paradorn secured there appeared no immediate need to deal with Stahl and his pocket empire. In the Foramen Minoris however, Cybixx still has designs on the Destino system, where Inquisitor Hathek was fighting against forces of the “Crusade”. When the Dark Angels arrived in the system, unaware of Cybixx’s motives and still considering Hathek unworthy of his position, they immediately joined in the fighting on the side of the Crusade forces. 

Unfortunately for the astartes and the Crusade, despite having space supremacy thanks to the Mechanicum fortress, the Eagleclaw House of knights had just begun a substantial assault of Crusade fortifications on Destino III. The Dark Angels attempted to stop the Knights, supported by Lycannon Guard, but were overrun by the powerful war engines. Hathek and the loyalists continued to stalemate the crusade war on Destino, while Vorushko, the instigator if the Crusade, remained completely unaware of the situation.
