On Hexis, the eldar had managed to gain a foothold once again, thanks to the efforts of the Sisters of Quartz, and now looked to use their knowledge they had gained of the planet to launch strikes agains the many forces now scattered around the world. the eldar were not interested in territory or the blasted ruins of the ancient cities. They had come for one thing only, information and components of the Nexus Arrangement, an artefact of such power the Ynarri had decided that no other race must obtain its secrets.
The aeldari intelligence provided by their seers had indicated that one such "clue" lay in the tyranid infestation to the north of Methoteph, and a raiding party of Ynnari set out to retrieve the object. Travelling by night, the eldar warhost slipped past the imperial patrols and into the shattered wastelands between the two cities of Hexis, and by dawn they were within sight of their target. The tyranids however were not about to allow the eldar to trespass on their ground, a fact which indicated the alien hive mind knew very well of the importance of the artefact in their possession. The eldar executed a brutal strategy to overcome the enemy, advancing on them behind a flock of razorwings that took most of the attention of the alien beasts. The Ynnari force carved a path through the living bioweapons and retrieved the prized item before melting back into the dusk shadows, content to leave the enraged tyranids to rampage through others' territory in a fruitless pursuit of their quarry.
