The Imperium suffered a second reversal in a week following their defeat to the greenskins on Hexis. Clearly re-engergised by the Imperial interest in excavating ancient ruins around the Haknur Plateau, the Adeptus Mechanicus force protecting the investigations soon came under fire from necron forces. A savage battle erupted across the barren high ground, with both sides losing their commanding officers. Eventually however the mechanicum force were driven off by the ancient Xenos, and the alien force moved inexorably towards the capital of Hexis.

Necrons move towards Praxis
